Located on the first floor at Chase Ocean Engineering Lab, the Data Visualization Research Lab has the goal of carrying out research into advanced interactive visualization. The lab has a special interest in techniques that can be applied to ocean mapping and ocean technologies in general. The DVRL is involved in a wide array of research, including work in electronic charting, navigation, 3D simulations, and the development of GeoZui4D, their geo-spatial visualization and analysis software.
