Kate Murray

Kate Murray is a graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in Earth Science. She graduated from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, in May 2025 with a B.S. in Geosciences. During her time as an undergraduate, she interned with the USGS St. Petersburg Coastal and Marine Science Center, where she discovered her interest in surveying while working aboard the R/V Sallenger. Kate is excited to continue learning about hydrography and to conduct her research within CCOM’s Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) lab. Outside of academics, Kate enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors.
