Jessica Murphy
Jessica Murphy is a Physical Scientist with NOAA’s Office of Coast Survey Pacific Hydrographic Branch (PHB) where she reviews hydrographic data, creates final products for application to nautical charts and products, coordinates PHB’s outreach efforts, and serves aboard NOAA’s hydrographic fleet as needed. She also currently serves as PHB’s Data Manager, ensuring the proper storage, transfer, maintenance, and archiving of PHB’s hydrographic data. Prior to coming to NOAA, she interned at a Lidar acquisition firm where she was first introduced to geospatial mapping and survey. Jessica has a B.S in Marine Biology from Texas A&M in Galveston and a Professional Science Master's in Environmental Science with a Graduate Certificate in Marine Resource Management from Oregon State University. In her spare time, she enjoys playing ice hockey, hiking, trail running, and spending time with her husband and dogs.
