Ella Magrum-Stanley

Ella Magrum-Stanley is a recent graduate from Bangor University in Wales where she received her B.S. in Marine Biology and Oceanography. They spent their undergrad experience doing fieldwork on the Welsh coast. She also utilized seafloor mapping data to analyze the relationship between seafloor formations and glacial retreat rates for their undergrad dissertation. Last summer she spent time aboard the E/V Nautilus as a hydrography and seafloor mapping intern. That experience led them to pursue a M.S in Earth Sciences: Ocean Mapping. Her research interests are in both seafloor characterization and under ice mapping. When they have time outside of school and work, she likes hiking, snowboarding, art, and scuba diving.
