Constance Tyler

Constance Tyler obtained her double B.S. in Marine Biology & Environmental Science at Northeastern University. Her background in phycology extends to her time as an undergraduate research assistant at Northeastern's Marine Science Center. She further developed this interest during the Three Seas Program, followed by a kelp biomechanics research internship at the University of British Columbia. Connie earned her Ph.D. in Marine Biology from UNH in 2025 and now a Postdoctoral Research Associate at UNH's Center for Coastal & Ocean Mapping.

Connie specializes in macroalgae ecology. She uses remotely sensed data to model benthic habitats and identify the variables that drive competition between native and introduced species.  Away from the office, she practices film photography and forages for mushrooms.
