Rosemary Burkhalter-Castro
Rosemary Burkhalter-Castro is a Physical Scientist for the NOAA Office of Coast Survey (Pacific Hydrographic Branch) where she reviews bathymetric data for application to government nautical charts. Rosemary worked various roles at NOAA starting in 2019 (undergraduate intern, federal contractor) before becoming an official federal employee in 2026. She also briefly worked for Teledyne CARIS as a software instructor in 2025. Prior to living in New England, Rosemary lived in Florida where she earned a B.S. in Marine Science from Eckerd College and a M.S. in Geological Oceanography from the University of South Florida. In her free time, she enjoys reading, singing in her local choir, fishing with her husband and watching Star Trek.
