Glen Rice
Glen Rice is the Geospatial Applications and Development Branch (GADB) Chief in National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Office of Coast Survey. GADB houses both the National Bathymetric Source (NBS) and nowCOAST programs.
Previously, Glen was the engineering lead for the NBS program and a part of the Hydrographic Systems and Technology Branch (HSTB). He also previously served aboard the NOAA Hydrographic Ships Fairweather and Rude as a NOAA CORPS officer. Mr. Rice also worked for Coast Survey's Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping Center where he focused on seafloor acoustic backscatter, as well as in HSTB on sonar acceptance for NOAA. Mr. Rice has a B.S. in Physics and and an M.S. in Ocean Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
