Abstract
This first OE 990 seminar of the 2026-27 Academic Year will introduce our long-standing Friday afternoon seminar series hosted by the Center for Ocean Engineering and the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping. An overview of the Centers will be presented, including the supported Ocean Engineering Graduate Programs, the history of the Jere A. Chase Ocean Engineering Laboratory and its facilities, safety considerations and rules, and an introduction of personnel that oversea various aspects of the lab functions. Then, one-minute research flash talks will be given by each OE and CCOM Faculty.
