The high bay at Chase Ocean Engineering Lab is a multipurpose facility that includes extensive storage and workspace in a warehouse-like environment. It consists of two interior work bays and one exterior work bay with power, lights, and data feeds available throughout.

A secured room provides space for the retrofitting and upgrading of ROVs before they head back to sea. This video from the Okeanos Explorer shows the build and testing timeline of the ROV Deep Discoverer.

The high bay is also home to the UNH Marine School's wave and engineering tanks, the Center’s CBASS craft, and a host of other scientific equipment.
